Clinical Global Infectious Diseases

The summer school course in clinical global infectious diseases will give you an introduction to the major infectious diseases with emphasis on geographical differences.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Describe and apply basic concepts of infectious diseases (i.e. incidence, prevalence, morbidity, mortality in different parts of the world)
  • Diagnose infectious diseases including a geographic history
  • Hands on practical rapid tests and microscopy for parasites
  • Initiate basic treatment of infectious diseases
  • Discuss basic principles of community control and prevention

The course will prepare you for work in other countries, especially developing countries.

Price: Students applying for AU Summer University courses through a bilateral exchange agreement and nominated by the home institution can participate free of charge.

  • EU freemovers – 1,500 DKK
  • Non EU/EEA citizens – 1,500 DKK + Tuition fee 9,560 DKK
